Merideth is my cover model, proofreader and best critic. She has a sense of design and style well beyond her years. I often alter designs to include her suggestions. She is an elementary teacher. She and her husband, Brad, live nearby. Brad is the Associate Pastor of a United Brethren Church. He personifies every quality and character trait parents could pray for in a son-in-law and we love him like our own son.

Our son Nathan and his wife, Barbara, have both finished college with honors and are living two hours away. Their fairytale wedding took place in August, 2005 at the college chapel where they met. Barbara has fit right into our family as another daughter and we enjoy doing "girly" things together that the guys won't do with us.

Granddaughters Gracia and Ruth are our pride and joy!

Built in 1892, our century-old homestead is always in a continual state of remodeling.

My studio is the former downstairs bedroom and birthing room. I know of at least five babies born in that room (none of them mine - even with all my pioneer spirit). From the studio windows I can watch our cows grazing and crops growing. So you can see, Homestead Specialties truly has an authentic country flair.
